Clinton Supporter: Dean Should Resign

Clinton supporter Lanny Davis is suggesting that DNC Howard Dean should resign if the allegations that he had something to do with the cancelling of a North Carolina debate turn out to be true. Lanny Davis suggests that Barack Obama is "afraid" to debate Senator Clinton. The video caught my eye because of a comment someone left on it:

"Why doesnt Obama just debate Kucinich, or somebody else who is out of the race? Is he afraid?"

For some reason, YouTube comments are usually amongst the dumbest in the world, but that one is Pretty clever.

Happy Earth Day

Monty Python reminds us that the Earth is just one planet in one huge universe. Pretty nutty when you think about it:

Too bad they never got to that environmentalist crap...

Only In America

From a pro-Tibet rally:

Hilariously embarrassing. Nazi Germany did of course host the Olympics in 1936, and Hitler only allowed Aryans to compete for Germany. This only fuels my suspicions that most protesters are, much like the rest of the general public, not very bright. They just happen to have nothing better to do.

He Just Got My Vote

My future President seriously "brushed his shoulders off."

I bet that answers the "is he black enough" questions...

The Circus

I almost didn't want to think about last night's debate. I spent a long day at work going over the whole thing in my head and ended up at 3 P.M. with the wish that I hadn't watched it in the first place. People talked about it all around the office and the general consensus was that it was terrible and disappointing to watch, but there is much more to it than that.

Stephanapolous and Gibson did not ask a serious question until almost the hour mark. ABC, one of the big three networks, once covered stories like the Vietnam War and Watergate. The station that once created The Brady Bunch is now famous for Desperate Housewives, and it seems like its news division has followed in tow.

One year ago I heard George Stephanapolous speak at St. John's University. The speech he gave was not dissimilar to his journalism: arrogant, elitist, and out-of-touch. Stephanapolous (and Gibson as well) failed the general public last night. The fourth estate is supposed to give us an honest look at a candidate, instead we got questions about lapel pins and a nutty pastor. And while the huge amount of the blame goes to ABC for allowing such a charade to unfold, I cannot help but criticize Obama as well. If the soon-to-be Democratic Presidential Candidate had called out the moderators he would have done so to thunderous applause. The American public are sick of non-issues and are indeed bitter at their government. Obama represents a change to all of this; a way to give Washington back to the people and he failed to capitalize last night. Of course, he did make a few comments today which were on the mark, but the boldness to do so last night would have not only confirmed his status as the one "against the quo," but would have also set him apart as a leader. If he wants to win the general election, this is the image he must put forth.

And I don't care if I spelt Stephanapolous's name wrong.

Bitter.

Obama circa 1994 explaining his views on rural and working class America. It puts his "bitter" comments in perspective:

If Hillary Clinton wins the nomination I may never vote for a Democrat for the rest of my life. Why would I give my vote to a party that rewarded Mrs. Clinton's behavior?

Fun.

It is kind of fun watching ArtieTSMITW reenact this scene from As Good As It Gets:

It is also kind of awesome to make MLB 2008 Predictions. Here they go:

American League

East
Boston Red Sox

Central
Detroit Tigers

West

Anaheim Angels

Wild Card

Cleveland Indians

National League

East

New York Mets

Central

Chicago Cubs

West

L.A. Dodgers

Wild Card

Brewers

Yes, I realize that I do not have the Yankees making the playoffs. I want it to happen, ever so badly, but the team added no one this off-season when they really needed to. The pitching is extremely shaky and who knows if guys like Posada and Giambi will have their stuff. I like what I've seen so far, but then again, that was against Toronto. I don't know if we can beat the big teams like Boston and Detroit, but time will tell. If the young pitchers bring their stuff, it should be a good year.

In other news, this gourmet popcorn is awesome, and this German site shows the difference between food packaging pictures and the actual content inside the package:

So have a good weekend. I'll probably explain this post later.
